TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

These tips are intended to help you in case you are having any issues with your device or service

Unable to access any applications:

A. Check to make sure your  WIFI is connected. A good way to do this is go to YouTube on the device. If you can access videos, you are online. If you can’t access any videos the device is not recognizing your WIFI.

B. Check to see if the Date and Time being displayed on your device is correct. If is not correct the device is not recognizing your WIFI.

C. In the case of the wrong Date and Time here is what you need to do.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Go to Device Preferences
  3. Select Date and Time: Make sure you are in “Auto Mode”. If you are and the date doesn’t change just change the setting from Auto to Manual. Once in Manual you will see the screen allow you to change the date and time.
  4. Once you change the date and time go back to the home screen and verify the changes have been made.
  5. Go back to YouTube and try to watch a video. You should be good to go.
  6. If that doesn’t work go to the website and contact customer service immediately.

When you hit Smarters Player Lite AND the application says “Retry”:

A. Make sure you have a good WIFI connection.

B. Your URL may need to be updated. Contact your sells representative or go to the website for immediate customer service.

When you enter your credentials into Smarters Player Lite AND it says “Invalid User”:

A. Verify you are entering your credentials correctly. The credential are case sensitive.

B. Check your WIFI connection.

C. It maybe a server issue contact your sales representative or go to the website for immediate service.

How to Force Stop an application: Reset the Application

A. Make sure you follow these steps exactly so you Don’t Delete your application.

B. Go to settings and select Applications

C. Select the desired Application you are trying to Reset.

D. Hold the OK button on the App and a list will pop up.

E. Select “Info”.

F. Be careful HERE. Select Force Stop NOT DELETE.

G. Hit “OK”.

H. Now open the App.

How to RESET your Remote Control: Your device is not responding to your remote control

A. Check batteries.

B. Use TV remote or connect a mouse to your device.

C. Go to settings on the device.

D. Go to Remote.

E. Uninstall the remote and hit “OK”.

F. The device will ask you to reconnect your remote. Follow the on-screen instruction.

Accessing multi-screen features:

A. Go to Smarters Player Lite home screen.

B. Under Movies you will see multi-screen.

C. We recommend you only use 2 screens for no buffering. The amount of screens you can play with a good connection is dependent on your WIFI speed for buffering.

D. Once you select your screen layout hit the “OK” button.

E. Now you can hit the “OK” button on the individual screens and your TV guide will pop up for you to select the desired channel.

F. To enlarge a specific screen just select that screen and hit the “OK” button.

G. To go back to your multi-screen display just hit the back button.

H. If you want to change the channel on a specific screen just select that screen and hold down the “OK” button.

Excessive Buffering:

A. Check your WIFI connection.

B. If you are watching Live TV change the link by hitting the back button and selecting a different link.

C. If you are watching a movie. The movie could be too new and you are experiencing a bad download. Try watching a different movie to see if you still have buffering issues. If not, it was the movie link. If you still have buffering issues, go to YouTube and see if your videos are buffering.

D. If you have buffering on YouTube then your WIFI speed is fluctuating. Restart the device.
